"Going out and about with other disabled people is so liberating, we can unapologetically take up space in the world together it’s a beautiful thing!"
"Having a community of people that encourage me to take breaks as well as encourage me with affirmations means the world. In other groups I've been called lazy or was told I wasn't trying hard enough. This community uplifts me and helps present that not everything is black and white and not every person struggles the same way as others. Such an amazing community."
"Cripspace is a place where I have learned to accept that I am disabled and that it's not a bad word or something to be shameful of it's a part of me."
"The spectrum of disability means we all live our lives in different ways, yet it is exactly that difference that lets us share a commonality and realize the beauty of all bodies and minds"
"Crip Space, to me, is a nonjudgmental community of people who understand the struggle of having a disability. The struggle of having to meticulously plan each day in hopes of optimal success, yet, more often than not, to have those plans thrown entirely out the window by our own bodies and minds. This community validates me and everybody who joins it, because here no disability is invisible or minimized."
"CripSpace is a place where I can confidently bring my whole self, even when I’m afraid, I’ll always be accepted and seen here"
